Laura B. Nieto Bruña nace en David, Chiriquí, el 6 de junio de 1981. En 2004 se gradúa de la Licenciatura en Mercadotecnia en la Universidad Católica Santa María la Antigua (USMA). Un año más tarde, publica Aldo, el Joven Rey * Aldo, the Young King y en 2007, su segunda novela La Patrulla del Castillo Volador * The Flying Castle Patrol.
En 2010, obtiene el título de Master en Finanzas otorgado por CESTE Escuela Internacional de Negocios, en Zaragoza, España. Luego, en 2013, publica El Corazón de la Reina * The Queen’s Heart, la tercera novela de su saga de fantasía. Desde ese año, sus novelas se encuentran a la venta en formato impreso y como e-books. Durante 2014, participa en la XVI Feria del Libro de Santo Domingo, República Dominicana y en el 34º Congreso de IBBY, en la ciudad de México. En 2016, obtiene su Maestría en Docencia Superior, por la Universidad Tecnológica OTEIMA.
Laura B. Nieto Bruña organiza eventos para escritores y lectores, como la Mesa Redonda de Fantasía y Ciencia Ficción Infantil y Juvenil y a partir de 2021, coordina el Círculo Literario Virtual Siembra de Lectores, capítulo de Chiriquí. Trabaja como profesora universitaria y es miembro de la Academia Panameña de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil (APLIJ). Le gusta visitar centros educativos para participar en conversatorios con niños, jóvenes, docentes y padres de familia. Además, dicta conferencias de mercadotecnia y literatura infantil y juvenil.

In 2010, Laura obtained a Master’s degree in Finance from CESTE Escuela Internacional de Negocios, in Zaragoza, Spain. Then in 2013, she published El Corazón de la Reina * The Queen’s Heart, the third novel in her fantasy saga. During 2014, she participated in the XVI Santo Domingo Book Fair, Dominican Republic and in the 34th IBBY Congress, in Mexico City. In 2016, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Higher Teaching, from the OTEIMA Technological University.
Laura B. Nieto Bruña organizes events for writers and readers, such as the Fantasy and Science Fiction Round Table for Children and Youth and, since 2021, coordinates the Siembra de Lectores Virtual Literary Circle, Chiriquí chapter. Laura is a university professor and a member of the Panamanian Academy of Children’s and Youth Literature (APLIJ, its acronym in Spanish). She likes to visit educational centers to participate in discussions with children, youth, teachers and parents. She also gives conferences on marketing and children’s and youth literature.
